About Pickleball Safety

What this site is

Pickleball Safety is a free, independent site with pickleball injury numbers from US emergency room records, plus plain-English guides on avoiding common injuries. Every number and claim links to its source.

Who runs it

Pickleball Safety is run by an independent publisher. We are not doctors or other clinicians, and we are not pickleball professionals. That is why we lean on published research and public data, and show you where every claim comes from.

No guide has been reviewed by a clinician yet. If one is, the guide will name the reviewer.

How we make the content

• Injury numbers. We run our own open method on the yearly CPSC NEISS case files. Our numbers are our own estimates, not official CPSC figures. How we count.
• Guides. AI tools help us draft outlines and text. A person then checks every claim against the source it cites before a guide is published. Each guide shows when it was published and last reviewed.
• Sources. Everything we rely on is listed on the sources page.
